Grooming"
Our tug can be fitted with a
Dragline bucket to groom the harbour bottom
of
silt, mud and sand.
“Grooming” is simply moving the existing material and obstructions
along the lake bottom out to deeper water.
Grooming has less environmental impact than dredging or prop washing.

Of Safe Refuge?”
Dredging
is the best solution. However ...in recent years Federal and Provincial funding cuts have forced some of
our smaller Canadian harbours to seek alternate methods of maintaining
navigable depths for pleasure craft and commercial vessels.
Our method of Grooming will maintain an 8ft (2.75 m) depth to harbours and
approaches.
